Racing helmet template
A single-seater racing helmet with a narrow visor opening and a rear spoiler. Use it to plan a car-racing livery before you open the 3D editor or brief a painter.
One A4 landscape sheet with all five views at the same scale. Outlines are bold enough to colour inside; the visor, trim and fittings are light grey.
Rather see it on a real 3D shell?

Designing a racing helmet
Start with the top view
In a single-seater the driver sits low, so the crown is what the onboard and overhead cameras see most. Put the boldest shape there.
Line stripes up across views
A stripe that runs front to back has to meet itself on the left, top and right views. Draw it on the top view first, then carry it down each side.
Keep the visor area simple
The visor opening is narrow and the pivots sit either side of it. Busy detail there gets lost; a plain band reads better.
Use the spoiler as an edge
The rear spoiler breaks up the back view. A colour change along its edge looks deliberate; a stripe cut through it rarely does.
Same shell, in 3D
Design it in 3D
Open this racing helmet in the editor and paint it on flat views like the template. Every stripe and number wraps onto the 3D shell as you draw, and you can share the result with one link.
