What to know about the Classic open-face shell
Seventies-style jet helmet with snap studs and a bubble shield.
An open face
With no chin bar, the paint sits on the dome and the sides. Stripes over the crown, a band round the rim and a name or number on the back all suit this shape.
Bubble shield
Pick a tint for the bubble shield: clear, light or dark smoke, or iridium blue, gold or red. A clear shield leaves the paint on the brow on show.
Classic finishes
Cream, solid gloss colours and thin pinstripes suit a classic shell. Pinstripe widths are set in millimetres, so a twin pinline comes out as fine as one painted by hand.

Can I design an open-face helmet for free?
This is a Pro shell. You can design on it, save it and share the 3D link for free; exporting images or video of it needs Pro, which is $17 once per account.
Is it suitable for a café racer or scooter helmet?
Yes. The shell is a generic open-face jet helmet, the style worn on café racers, scooters and classic bikes as well as in historic racing.
Can I recreate a vintage look?
Yes. Start from Heritage (cream with navy twin stripes) or a blank shell, then add stripes, pinlines, a laurel or a roundel with your number.
Can I add my own logos?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG or SVG and place it on any of the five views. Each free design holds 2 uploads; Pro is unlimited.
Can a helmet painter work from my design?
Yes. Send them the share link and they can spin the helmet in any browser. Pro adds a printable paint template with all five views laid out flat.
