What to know about the Varsity football shell
Football helmet with jaw flaps, ear holes, a raised centre ridge and a multi-bar facemask.
Facemask colour
The facemask has its own colour, set in the Facemask panel. Grey, white and black are the classics. A facemask in the stripe colour gives a more modern look.
Centre stripe and side numbers
The classic football look is a stripe over the crown from front to back and a number on each side. Lay the stripe out on the Top view and mirror the number so both sides match.
Sides and back
The facemask covers most of the front, so the sides, the jaw flaps and the back do the work. The back is the usual place for a second number, a name or a small flag.

Football helmet questions
Can I design a football helmet for free?
This is a Pro shell. You can design on it, save it and share the 3D link for free; exporting images or video of it needs Pro, which is $17 once per account.
Can I make a helmet for my fantasy football team?
Yes. Pick your league colours, add your team name or a number, then post the share link in the group chat. Anyone can open it and spin the helmet in a browser without an account.
Can I copy an NFL or college team's helmet?
The starter designs are original and don't copy any team. You can upload your own artwork, such as your club's or your fantasy team's logo, as long as you have the right to use it.
Can I add my own logos?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG or SVG and place it on any of the five views. Each free design holds 2 uploads; Pro is unlimited.
Is the shell a copy of a real helmet?
No. It's a generic football helmet with jaw flaps, ear holes, a raised centre ridge and a multi-bar facemask. It isn't based on any brand's helmet.
