Paint the whole mask
The front mask and the backplate both take paint, so artwork can run from the cage over the crown and down the back. The only break is the strap gap between the two pieces.
The cage
The cage colour is part of the look. Set it in the Cage panel: black and white are the classics, or match it to your main colour. The rubber edge round the mask stays black.
Cheeks, chin and backplate
Mask art lives on the sides. The cheeks either side of the cage and the chin below it face the shooter, and the backplate is the traditional place for a number or a name.

Goalie mask questions
Can I design a goalie mask for free?
This is a Pro shell. You can design on it, save it and share the 3D link for free; exporting images or video of it needs Pro, which is $17 once per account.
Can I plan the paint or wrap for my real mask with it?
Yes. Send the share link to a mask painter or a wrap shop so they can see every angle, and download the free printable goalie mask template to sketch on. Ask your mask's maker before painting or wrapping it yourself: some paints and solvents can affect a shell.
Is it a copy of a real goalie mask?
No. It's an original pro-style mask modelled to real proportions, with a cat-eye cage, a sculpted chin and a strapped backplate. It isn't based on any maker's mask.
Can I change the cage colour?
Yes. Open the Cage panel and pick any colour for the cage. Paint finishes like gloss, matte and metallic apply to the mask itself.
Can I add my own logos?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG or SVG and place it on any of the five views. Each free design holds 2 uploads; Pro is unlimited.
