Tips
Using Portuguese colours on a helmet

A vertical flag becomes a band from the visor, over the crown, to the nape. Keep green on the left as you look at the back, so the flag reads the right way round to anyone behind you.

Portugal's flag has no white, so green meets red directly. A thin black or white pinstripe along that edge stops the two colours blurring together when the helmet is moving.

Keep the flag itself small and somewhere it stays flat, such as behind the ear or low on the back. Flags on the curve of the crown stretch, and a small, sharp flag reads better from a distance than a large, distorted one.
