Tips
Using Italian colours on a helmet
-
01
A vertical flag becomes a band from the visor, over the crown, to the nape. Keep green on the left as you look at the back, so the flag reads the right way round to anyone behind you.
-
02
White does the separating on Italy's flag. On a helmet, a thin white pinstripe between green and red keeps the edge crisp, and a white base makes the other colours look brighter.
-
03
Keep the flag itself small and somewhere it stays flat, such as behind the ear or low on the back. Flags on the curve of the crown stretch, and a small, sharp flag reads better from a distance than a large, distorted one.
